Every man loves wolf of wall street, why? I suppose for various different reasons. Maybe we all want to be in the movie because of the money, the cars, the girls or the fame. Whatever the reason, none of us can deny the outfits in the movies or on the actual wall street. These guys dress pretty well, my favourite look is definitely without a doubt the ‘Gekko’ shirt. For those who don’t know what the gekko shirt is, it’s basically a shirt that has a collar and cuff colour that contrasts the colour of the shirt. [See Below]

Statement

Wearing the Gekko Shirt is a statement, the moment you put it on you get that banker feel. Makes me feel like I need to make more money. So the question is; should you buy one?

Well it depends on your job and where you plan on wearing it. Contract shirts are great with navy suits, especially pin stripes so if where you work its acceptable to look that dapper, then go for the contrast shirt. Unfortunately my Gekko shirts don’t have a place in my workplace so I’m only able to wear them on a weekend.

I put on my new wool suit, my standard white shirt and went out today for some shopping and a meal, it turns out I hate my current white shirt that I thought I loved.

Standing inside Mark’s and Spencer, under the sharp white light I noticed my shirt wasn’t as good as it once was. The natural creases that happen throughout the day didn’t look natural anymore, they looked like they had been there for years.

Maybe I’m making this sound more dramatic than it needs to be but if your going to keep your suit jacket on all day everyday then maybe you can get away with an old shirt. Me however, I take my suit jacket off all the time and although no one would say anything I would hate for someone to think; “That shirt used to be white lol”.

We all own double cuffed shirts and we love them dearly, so it’s no surprise that we love cufflinks. Cufflinks are great for our ego, they are that little piece of our outfit that usually go un-noticed. The best thing about cufflinks is definitely the fact they are so simple and often overlooked. Cufflinks are elegant and the Ted Baker Buttin Cufflinks is definitely a fine elegant thing.

As we all know, Ted Baker is a marvellous brand and they definitely come up with fine pieces of clothing. Ted Baker is a brand known to be different and do it with amazing style. I love wearing cufflinks, especially my Aston Martin pair, as they grab so much attention from others. When people look down at my wrist and notice something different, something out of the ordinary – they love it.

Quality & Price

Made mostly out of brass and then finished off with your standard button for that really authentic look. These Ted Baker Buttin Cufflinks were originally priced at £55, which I would never pay for cufflinks. Thankfully as with everything I buy, these are are on sale for £25. The price is pretty decent but still more expensive than probably all your over cufflinks.

Should You Buy Them?

If you’re like me and you enjoy; wearing named brands, receiving compliments and wearing things that are conversation starters… Then yes you need these! If you’re into grabbing a bargain, then what better bargain than a named and branded Ted Baker item. However, if you don’t really care about cufflinks, then get some £5 ones from eBay or Amazon.

Plus they come with this amazing gift box which basically means you should buy two pairs and give one to a dear friend.

Funnily enough I don’t have actually own a plain Navy suit, I don’t know why, I guess once a few of my old suits got ruined, I just never bought another plain suit. I’m kind of addicted to suits that are different, I love pin stripes and checked suits. The ASOS Slim Fit Suit Jacket In Navy Pindot is definitely far from a plain suit.

ASOS as a suit making company isn’t exactly the greatest tailoring company in the world. To be fair to them, they haven’t had that much experience although they are trying and they are doing a pretty good job. The reviews online are fantastic and I know a few of my mates have some ASOS suits and they look pretty decent. I’d say they’ve done a pretty good job on the ASOS Slim Fit Suit Jacket In Navy Pindot.

The Suit

In terms of the quality of this suit, it’s a poly blend, meaning its a mixture of polyester and another material called viscose. A polyblend suit is pretty much the cheapest material of a suit you can buy. The good thing about the suits that are made from polyester is they barely wrinkle and they have this shiny finish to them which is sure to make you stand out.

The suit is a standard two button fastening, which is my prefered favourite, especially for work. The inside lining of the suit jacket is an amazing black shiny texture. The slim fit design looks great as long as you know your size.

So the great thing about the ASOS Slim Fit Suit Jacket In Navy Pindot you can get the whole three piece set; jacket, waistcoat and trousers for £107.

Summary

This suit is probably the best suit ASOS have created and considering the fact that it’s a whole three piece for under £110, I have to recommend it to anyone and everyone who wears suits to work. It’s a light suit that looks and feels great. Obviously it’s not the greatest quality suit and you wont look like you’re in a Tom Ford suit but you can’t complain for this wonderful price.

Now I’m not normally a fan of reversible belts although I think they are great when you are initially building your wardrobe, i mean you are buying two belts for the price of one. Usually reversible belts look cheap and reversible but oh my, we definitely can not say that about the wonderful; Ted Baker Bluez Smart Reversible Belt.

Two Belts

Ted Baker being the brand they are they have created two of the same belts, one black with brown on the other side and the second belt having two shades of brown. Both of these belts are made out of 100% Bovine leather, which smells amazing! You can literally smell the leather when you hold the belt – perfection. Some “leather” belts are only leather coated, these are through and through pure leather.

They both have this beautiful silver buckle with Ted Baker branded on it so you can show off a little at work.

Ted Baker are known for quality and they very proud of being an international fashion brand that has grown massively over the years without an advertising campaign. To be able to shop with them constantly you are going to need to have quite a decent income, definitely a lot more than I can normally afford.

Thankfully I can comfortably afford both of these beauties as they are only priced at £45 each. When you compare that to the price of a leather LV belt going for £180, you realise these Ted Baker belts are absolutely worth it.

Trust me, buy one at least and from the moment you open the packaging and smell that leather, you will be a happy man.

Some people call them woven, others braided, whatever you want to call them they are amazing belts. The Charles Smith Brown Leather Woven Belt is no different. The belt comes with a simple silver buckle connected onto a beautiful brown woven leather braid. Brogues have always been such an amazing choice of shoes, the problem is choosing which brogues to get. I keep it simple with my brown brogues although I know a lot of you like to really stand out. I remember when I went out shopping a few days ago I saw some amazing two tone brogues. I have no idea where I actually saw them but I wanted to show you guys what they looked like.
